When I stated to use SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) I thought it was easy until I had to setup a test, prod and a Dev environment. The configuration in SSIS is all over the place and even if you are an expert, you still look many places to find what you what to configure.
This is why I design this session call: Why SSIS configuration is Rocket science?
Learning SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) is not that difficult but the deployment in production is. Why? Because SSIS package Configurations is Rocket Science. This session will present many examples of SSIS configuration and show you the pit fall, tips and tricks and best practices for SSIS. This session is not just for the DBA but also for the developers. Attending this session can save you many frustrations. You need to see it.
Come and see me at the OttawaSQL.Net meeting.
Date: Nov. 18th (Thursday night)

Next week (Nov. 9th at 10:00am) I will be speaking at TechDays Ottawa in the Local Flavours track. I originally name the session. “Why SSIS configuration is rocket sciences” but for TechDays we change the title to:
SQL Server Integration Services Tips and Tricks
Learning SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is not that difficult but deployment of packages can be challenging. This session will present many examples of SSIS configuration and show you tips & tricks as well as best practices for SSIS. This session is not just for the DBA but also for the developers. Attending this session can save you many frustrations. You need to see it.
Anyway, I prepared 10 demos to get my Point(s) about SSIS configuration and if you work with SSIS, this session is not to be missed.
